Galeries Lafayette elected International Retailer of the year

The French network of department stores was named best international retailer of the year by the National Retail Federation (NRF) at the Retail's Big Show 2015

The Galeries Lafayette chairman of the board, Philippe Houzé, was on hand in New York to receive the prize. The award aims to pay tribute to the strategy deployed by the company in its development in both France and internationally.

With above all a network of 59 stores in France, the Galeries Lafayette also has five flagships abroad, in Berlin, Casablanca, Dubai, Beijing and Jakarta, and is planning on opening further locations in Milan, Doha and Istanbul by 2018.
