Electric expands European e-commerce
Electric, the eyewear and accessories brand inspired by board sports, is expanding its e-commerce platform in France (its largest European market), Germany, the UK, Spain, Italy, Belgium and Austria.
Purchased in 2011 by Kering as part of its acquisition of Volcom, Electric launched its e-commerce site in 2013. On the site, consumers can received information about the brand, product launches or follow Electric Ambassadors. However, until now, its online store was only accessible only in North America (USA and Canada).
Founded in California 14 years ago, the brand now intends to open up its e-commerce platform to other countries in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia-Pacific, and Australia.
In introducing new categories with the launch of products such as watches, Electric has been rethinking its way of doing things, now aiming to become a global accessories brand.
