Riva most recently served as Vice President Apparel and Visual Merchandising for Tory Burch. He has extensive experience in finance as well as in global merchandising, marketing, and product development for such storied brands as Valentino and Salvatore Ferragamo. He will assume the role as CEO of DVF on May 18th.

"When I joined DVF two years ago as Co-Chairman, my mandate was to build a solid infrastructure and to find a CEO to lead the organization. With this announcement we have accomplished both. Paolo is an outstanding executive and will make an excellent leader for the company,” said Joel Horowitz.

Riva's appointment adds to the rumors that have been circulating for some time now about DVF going public. However, for now they remain just rumors.

Headquartered in New York City, DVF has a global distribution network of over 55 countries and 1,500 points of sale, including 116 DVF owned and partnered stores throughout North and South America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific.
