Although natural beauty brands are on the increase in India, the launch of Divine Organics marked the first time a home grown brand has been given an Ecocert certification. This certification testifies that the brand’s cosmetic products are completely organic in terms of both ingredients and methods of production and the French Ecocert organisation is the largest of its kind in the world.

Divine Organics held a launch party on Thursday at the Hotel Lalit in the capital and the party was hosted by the actress Bhumi Pednekar and the brand’s CEO Gautam Dhar, who has over 33 years of experience in the fast moving consumer goods industry. The event showcased the brand’s product range which comprises skin, body, and hair care and will be rolled out in multi-brand stores across the country shortly.

“I am glad that something I dreamt just three months ago has actually come true,” said Dhar at the launch. “It makes me realise that if you can dream big, you achieve big. It is an effort, hard work and dedication of the whole ‘Divine Organics’ team that worked day and night to make it happen,” Dhar elaborated.

Dhar also cleared up any issues around terminology and said: “People have always been confused between ‘herbal’, ‘ayurvedic’ and ‘organic’, I hope with ‘Divine Organics’ we are able to burst the reality of these worlds. With an absence of any regulation on products being sold under the ‘organic’ tag, it becomes quite precarious to use such items.

Divine Organics thus is certified and is India’s first ever Ecocert-certified Cosmos-approved beauty care brand that aims to provide products that are beneficial to consumers and contribute to healthy environment as well.”
