Disney x Coach collection celebrates Minnie Mouse

Coach has partnered with Disney again to launch a 19-piece collection honoring Minnie Mouse. The collection is timed to celebrate Minnie's 90th birthday as she receives her Hollywood Star 40 years after Mickey Mouse.

The collection includes handbags, ready-to-wear and a leather collectable Minnie Mouse doll. Polka dots in pink and red offer a celebration of Minnie's style mixed with Coach's vintage Americana aesthetic.

In an official statement from Coach, the collection is described as a "sophisticated and cool take juxtaposed with [Minnie Mouse's] fun spirit and femininity."

Coach's creative director Stuart Vevers is a self-professed Disney fan who has been inspired by the market for luxury Disney. Vevers shared his thoughts that, "A cartoon character can be in the world of luxury today," which he thinks is "synonymous with a bigger shift in fashion which I think has been happening over the last few years."

While this is not the first collaboration for the brands, it is the first collection celebrating Minnie Mouse. The brands released a well-received Mickey Mouse collection last year that sold out.

The limited edition Minnie Mouse collection is available now. Its launch coincides both with Minnie Mouse's 90th birthday and the awarding of her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The Coach collection is available now online and is priced from $75 for a coin purse to $450 for a kisslock handbag.
