Maurizio d’Angelo is the man who both oversaw Diadora’s integration into Geox and the return of its business.

Under the leadership of the Italian executive, who joined the company in 2007, the Italian footwear brand founded in 1948 has its foot back in the door of the sneakers business.

Participating in European trade shows, Diadora has regained its market visibility and rebuilt a distribution network on the continent.

D’Angelo will, however, now be handing over the reins of Diadora. President of the brand since its acquisition by Geox (where he is also vice-chairman) in 2009, Enrico Moretti Polegato will now be the brand’s new CEO.

At 33, the son and heir of Mario Moretti Polegato, the president of Geox, will be tasked with building upon Diadora’s return and developing its potential.  Over its last fiscal year, Geox generated 754 million euros in turnover, down 6.6 % compared to the previous year.
