Denim by Première Vision teams up with CIFF

With the rise of brands like Cheap Monday, Dr Denim and Nudies, Scandinavia has asserted itself in recent years as a denim powerhouse.

It’s with this realization that organizations like Denim By Première Vision and CIFF (Copenhagen International Fashion Fair) have found common ground. The two international fairs have now signed a partnership to mutually strengthen their visibility. Their first stage in their new partnership is called Skandigang.

Through the agreement, at the next Denim by, to be held on November 19-20 in Barcelona, Ciff will have its own space dedicated to denim sourcing in the heart of the show, offering an initial taste of Scandinavian lifestyle.

And from January 29 to February 1, Denim By Première Vision will have its own space in the Northern European event’s Urban Area, which hosts street and denim brands.

The partners’ goal is to better present their expertize to the world. “There have been meetings between both organizations for the past several seasons,” according to Première Vision. “Visitors at Denim By Première Vision are potential exhibitors for the CIFF. And, even if we already have a lot of Scandinavians attending the show, their exhibitors are potential visitors for us."

What’s more, the agreement allows Denim By Première Vision to assert itself in a region where the American denim sourcing event, Kingpins, recently established itself (in Amsterdam).

For the CIFF, it’s an opportunity to present itself to the wider denim community, including that of Southern Europe. For both events, the collaboration will be long-term.
