Comptoir des Cotonniers: Anne Valérie Hash new Creative Director
Anne Valérie Hash joined the Parisian studio of Comptoir des Cotonniers, the Fast Retailing-owned brand, at the beginning of June, succeeding Amélie Gillier as creative director. She will serve under Nancy Pedot, the new CEO of Comptoir des Cotonniers and Princesse Tam Tam. Gillier, meanwhile, resigned from her position last winter.
Anne Valérie Hash’s first collection for "Comptoir” will likely come out during the summer of 2015, although plans are more definite for the following autumn and winter, a spokesperson for the brand stated on Tuesday.
Anne Valérie Hash put her eponymous label on hold in February in order to rethink her business strategy, the time designer and entrepreneur told FashionMag at the time. "I learned the basics of my work on the job and I now I may need to consider adopting a different perspective," said the designer, whose latest spring-summer 2014 collection is entitled "Pause".
“Right now is the time for me to work for brands in need of my expertise," added the 2003 winner of the Andam prize, expressing her desire to come back with a business model more suited to the new rhythm of the fashion calendar. And that’s what she has done.
