In order to attract Japanese customers to the collections of two of its Performance and Lifestyle brands, Saucony and Sperry Top-Sider, Collective Brands has just signed a distribution deal with Japanese shoe retailer ABC-Mart. While Saucony shoes will be available at ABC-Mart stores as of next month, Sperry Top-Sider’s products will be hitting the ABC-Mart shelves at the beginning of 2012.

As for Keds, Collective Brands signed a distribution agreement with Sefonia Yourself, its Barcelona-based partner, in order to help reintroduce the sneaker brand in Spain. The Spanish distributor has already been managing the introduction of Sperry Top-Sider in the country for the past year.

Finally, the US footwear group signed a deal with RSH Limited, which has a wholesale channel as well as its own retail stores, for the distribution of Keds, Sperry Top-Sider and Saucony in the Singapore and Malaysia markets from the beginning of 2012.

Collective Brands, which has its own brands and holds various licenses, turned over nearly 3.4 billion dollars (2.5 billion euros) during fiscal year 2010, of which 17.5% came from international sales. The group’s profit before tax reached 102 million euros.
