Coco Chanel, Inès de la Fressange, Chantal Thomass and top models Cara Delevingne and Coco Rocha will make their entrance at the Musée Grévin on 15 December, marking the inauguration of a new space dedicated to fashion, the Parisian institution announced to the AFP on Monday.

Giving a nod to fashion shows and their orchestra of stars, "Grévin Fashion" is set to boast a contemporary decor, with lights and sound and huge mirrors for optical illusions and to augment the 18th century ambiance of the museum's famous Hall of Columns.

Visitors will have the opportunity to walk around a collection of wax figures of famous people from the fashion world, such as Jean Paul Gaultier and top model Naomi Campbell, but also other international stars, like Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, George Clooney and Madonna.

For the first time, Coco Chanel becomes a resident at Grévin. When contacted, Karl Lagerfeld said that he currently refuses the idea of becoming part of the temple of "pretend and window-dressing".

Presided over by journalist Stéphane Bern, the Académie Grévin has also chosen three new residents for 2015, including chef Anne-Sophie Pic, the first woman to join her colleagues Alain Ducasse and Paul Bocuse.

Pastry chef Pierre Hermé and swimming champion Camille Lacourt, both the first representatives of their respective professions, will also inaugurate their wax doubles next year.
