Cavalli celebrates its 40th anniversary in limited edition

Whoever said logos are frozen? On the occasion of the company’s 40th anniversary, the eccentric designer gave the logo a facelift and at the same time released an anniversary collection which marks his style highlights.

The "RC" logo was reviewed for the 40 year old anniversary and the next autumn-winter collections are revealed. The jet setter designer rummages into the brand's history to reveal symbolic new limited edition goods to release.
To begin with, a line of jeans under the (almost logical) label "Saint-Tropez". Indeed, in 1972 the first local boutique did open in Saint-Tropez where his yacht was based, off the beaches of Pampelonne and where he escapaded in the very trendy clubs. So the 15 designs that make up this line are all vying for the spotlight, with sequins, mini-studs, rhinestones and even animal prints.
Again, the master of prints offers a collection of cashmere, leopard print pashminas, which were launched for the first time for spring-summer 1996. The collection continues with a pair of sunglasses inspired by his first design "Occhio degli Dei" (The Eye of Gods), released in 1999. At that time, the brand signed for the first time a licensing agreement with the transalpine Marcolin for the creation, production and distribution of the sunglasses collection. An agreement was renewed last year. Two designs will make 2000 versions: one with pink gold and ivory snakeskin print leather and the other with blue mirror lenses.
Adding his always perfectly produced accessories, Roberto Cavalli offers a Swiss Made watch released for 999 wrists with a 43 mm dial, automatic movement and python skin wristband. A perfume completes the list of limited edition goods, "Anniversary" is due out in October. A current license with ICR-ITF for Roberto Cavalli and Just Cavalli, the brand has recently announced a new agreement with Coty that will take effect from July 2011.
Finally, to complete the launches, a bottle of vodka will add to his already released Tuscany wine, “Cavalli Selection”. Roberto Cavalli has personally signed the 3 and 6 litre bottles which reveal the label’s symbolic figure, a golden serpent wrapped around the bottle. So the celebrations begin…
