Calvin McDonald named CEO of Sephora Americas
Calvin McDonald has been named CEO of Sephora Americas. He takes over from David Suliteanu, who is leaving the position after 13 years to take over at Kendo Brands, LVMH’s incubator entity that has helped launch brands such as Formula X and Marc Jacobs Beauty.
Mcdonald left his position as CEO of Sears Canada just over a month ago and will take up his new role at Sephora in January 2014. He will be in charge of French beauty chain Sephora’s 330 stores in the United States and Canada, as well as 400 points of sales within JC Penney stores. The company has recently expanded into Latin America, notably with its move into the Brazilian market in 2010.
