Barrie now has its first ready-to-wear collection and, logically, also its first store. The Scottish manufacturer of luxury knitwear, bought by the Chanel group in 2012, opened its first retail location in June at 380 rue Saint-Honoré in Paris, just around the corner from the group's precious Rue Cambon.

The store is a small twenty-square-meter intimate space in which Barrie's first ready-to-wear collection for autumn-winter 2014/2015 is on display in a energetic, warm atmosphere.

A knits manufacturer for Chanel for 25 years, the Scottish Barrie Knitwear company joined the parent company's Paraffection subsidiary, the French group's artisan division that aims to preserve and promote craft and artisan skills in fashion. Barrie is starting out life on its own with a first store window that means to guide brand followers to its new location in its newly adopted city.
