Bally opens its first brick and mortar store in India
Bally’s first storefront has just been opened alongside brands such as Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Dior, and Giorgio Armani. The DLF Emporio in New Delhi has been a starting point for many international brands in India, and now Bally is one of them.
The interior of the store is both modern and lavish and Bally’s signature leather goods are the main focus of the store. In an attempt to draw customers to the physical store instead of e-commerce portals, the interior design has been thought through to attempt to create an experience that transcends the products themselves.
Bags, belts, shoes, jackets, and accessories are the main attraction and, although the brand also has a ready to wear line, its classic accessories were chosen to test the waters of the Indian market. The launch of Bally’s brick and mortar store has come after over a year of talks with Reliance Brands, part of Reliance Retail and the Reliance Group, based in Mumbai.
Bally was founded in 1851 in Switzerland and became famous in 1890 for inventing the Zurich pump. Bally’s ready to wear and accessories line was launched in 1976. After going fully global in 1990, Bally has launched in many Asian countries and now India is one of them.
