Arvind Ltd's Ankur Textiles expands into cotton alternatives with new fabric collection

The lifestyle division of Arvind Limited, Ankur Textiles, has just launched a range of synthetic cotton alternative textiles including viscose, model, and cotton Lycra blended fabrics.

The new textile line by Ankur Textiles includes fabrics named Glam, Glory, Zoya, Blossom, Charm-me, and Lilac designed to be used for both western and ethnic wear. The textiles come in an array of colours, prints, and textures and they will be available at multi-brand women’s textile outlets across India. Prices will range from Rs 180 per to Rs 300 per metre.

The launch of this collection marks our expansion into multi-fibre fabrics as a fashionable alternative to cotton,” said Ankur Textiles’ CEO, Brijesh Bhati, at the textile launch event. “Our expertise in textile fabrics, combined with the use of technology, has enabled us to develop fabrics that offer both style with comfort for consumers. Our in-house design team will continue to introduce more such trendy collections in future to delight our customers.”

As a subsidiary of Arvind Limited, Ankur Textiles has been running for over five decades. The business produces a range of textiles including 100 percent cotton fabrics and its textiles retail across India and are also exported to China, the Middle East, Thailand, across Africa, and Switzerland.
