Aquascutum reveals its new creative director
Following the departure of Michael Herz and Graeme Fidler to Bally, Aquascutum has entrusted its creative direction to Joanna Sykes.
Present on London catwalks with her own brand, Sykes has previously worked for Giorgio Armani and Alberta Ferrretti. A 2001 graduate of Central Saint Martins, Joanna Sykes will now be developing her own collections in parallel with her work at Aquascutum.
“We are very happy to announce the appointment of Joanna,” said Belinda Earl, executive director of the brand. “Joanna has a fantastic eye for detail and cuts, and she creates clothes that we all want to wear which is perfect for Aquascutum. We are also happy that it is a young British designer that will continue the direction of designs for this iconic brand.”
