Amazon India sales jump with Akshaya Tritiya jewellery sale
As of now, the ecommerce major said, they have seen biggest jump in 22KT gold jewellery. Gold bullion follows the same trend with a lot of first time purchasers wanting to buy lower grammages coins, the company said further.
In terms of product categories, Amazon said gold pendants and chains, gold and diamond earrings, diamond nose pins are receiving greater response in the ongoing sale.
“While diamond jewellery is also the biggest volume driver, we also ran a mini Diamond Jewellery Sale from 21 -23 April as part of the uber Akshaya Tritiya Sale where we saw lower Average Selling Price (ASP) diamond jewellery products peak 3 x of regular days for top brands,” said Arun Sirdeshmukh, head, Amazon Fashion, told the Economic Times.
The sale includes various offers and discounts from top jewellery brands including Malabar Gold & Diamonds, Nakshatra, Joyalukkas among others and one can avail products from Kalyan Jewelers as well.
Amazon said customers shopping for Joyalukkas stand a chance to get 10% off with a free gold coin (1gm). Jewellery brand Malabar Gold & Diamonds is offering up to 20% off with a special deal of ‘Shop & Win’ that enables customers to win diamond jewellery worth INR 1 lakh on the platform
And Amazon said Gitanjali is giving 30% to 50% off with extra 10% off and a free diamond pendant with every purchase with terms and conditions applied.
“In order to replicate the offline shopping experience on our platform, we recently introduced the Price Break-Up feature which allows our customers to view price information of metal, making charges and taxes to make an informed purchase decision online,” added Sirdeshmukh.
