Agent Provocateur up for sale?

Is the lingerie brand Agent Provocateur changing hands? Its majority shareholder, the private equity company 3i, soon intends to sell its stake in the brand if we are to believe our British colleagues from Sky News.

Having acquired a stake in the luxury brand in 2007, 3i has apparently begun discussions with several banks that may assist in a possible sale.

Sky News has even mentioned a possible sales tag for the brand: 200 million pounds, or 250 million euros. It’s worth nothing that the brand has been doing very well lately with a 37% sales increase over the last fiscal year. Agent Provocateur has significantly expanded its network in recent years, today with nearly 90 stores or concessions in department stores.
