Zadig & Voltaire set out on ambitious US retail expansion
French label Zadig & Voltaire has inaugurated a new US store at 453 Broome Street in SoHo, New York. It is a 500 m2 flagship for the label founded in 1997 by Thierry Gillier, showcasing its men's and women's ready-to-wear collections as well as leather goods, footwear, fashion accessories and fragrances.

After this opening in the heart of Manhattan, Zadig & Voltaire now operates 43 directly owned monobrand stores in the USA, and is available at over 200 multibrand retailers. The label has made its US ambitions clear: it wants to double the revenue, reaching $100 million by 2020.
As well as adding to the number of brick-and-mortar stores, on 7th September Zadig & Voltaire launched a new version of its US e-store. "E-tail's contribution to our global sale volumes is now more than 10%, but must reach as high as 20% in the next three to five years. This strategy is only the introduction to our three-year investment plan, designed to generate a global revenue of €500 million," said Jean-Jacques Guével, the group's General Manager since April, in a press release.
Chris Tate, the General Manager of Zadig & Voltaire in the USA, said the label is working on several projects in Los Angeles, Miami and San Francisco.
Zadig & Voltaire currently operates 318 stores in 26 countries.
