Zac Posen’s new mission: modernize Brooks Brothers. Besides having his very own "red carpet" luxury brand, the New York designer has now been named creative director of the American retailer’s women’s ready-to-wear and accessories lines.

Founded in 1818, Brooks Brothers now has 300 stores worldwide, carrying a classic range for the whole family. It will rely on Zac Posen to modernize and give a touch of glamor to its primary female line, while remaining true to Brooks Brothers’ continuous heritage.

Zac Posen’s first collection for the retailer will be available in stores in spring 2016. It’s worth nothing that the clothier’s most fashionable lines, Red Fleece and Black Fleece, which were launched in 2007, will, however, continue to be designed by Thom Browne, the first designer to join the brand’s design studio.
