Yann Joffredo joins NYX Professional Makeup
Previously general manager of the men's care brand Baxter of California, owned by L'Oréal USA, Yann Joffredo will now take over at NYX Professional Makeup, the American make-up brand taken into the fold of world beauty giant, L'Oréal, in 2014. Taking the position of global brand president, Yann Joffredo succeeds Nathalie Kristo at NYX Professional Makeup.
Joining the L'Oréal group in 2005 at Vichy Laboratories, Yann Joffredo has also worked for make-up brands including L'Oréal Paris, Maybelline NY and the Essie nail polish brand. At the head of NYX Professional Makeup, Yann Joffredo will be leading an affordable brand, which, since being taken over by the world's number 1 in beauty, has strongly developed its retail network, inaugurating nearly 100 stores in less than two years. As a result, in 2016, its turnover jumped 126% to 450 million euros, according to Le Figaro. Although L'Oréal does not disclose the turnover of its brands, NYX Professional Makeup still stands out as one of the pillars of its consumer division, among others like L'Oréal Paris.
In France, NYX Professional Makeup currently boasts 22 stores, but the brand has also put a lot of work into expanding its international footprint and is now present in 70 countries, having opened its first stores in India and the Middle East a year ago.
