Wrogn names AB de Villiers as its new brand ambassador
Fashion brand Wrogn has named South African cricket legend AB de Villiers as its new brand ambassador. Wrogn is co-owned by Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli and Universal Sportsbiz Pvt Ltd.
The cricketer will endorse the brand’s newly launched active collection, which features more than 100 styles of t-shirts, joggers, shorts, sweatshirts, and hoodies.
Commenting on his association with the brand Wrogn, AB de Villiers in a statement said: "I am elated to join the Wrogn Tribe alongside my friend and RCB teammate Virat Kohli. During IPL, we have been sharing the dressing room for over a decade and it would be fun to discuss style and fashion besides sports. I look forward to connecting with my fans in India and inspiring them to choose Wrogn for their fashionable sportswear and activewear needs."
Anjana Reddy founder & CEO of Universal Sportsbiz Ltd added: "Following the success of Wrogn, which was launched as a breakaway youth fashion brand in 2014, we see great market potential for fashionable sportswear in India. Hence Wrogn Active, a fashionable sportswear brand, with ABD as the face will make GenZ want to get up and get moving.”
Wrogn was launched in 2014 and currently sells through exclusive brand outlets, Shoppers Stop and Myntra. It has plans to open around 200 outlets in the next three years.
