Wrestler Bajrang Punia is the new brand ambassador for TT Garments

Indian wrestler Bajrang Punia has been signed by textile major TT Limited as its brand ambassador for its innerwear and active wear vertical.
 

Punia, who is the World number one in the 65kg category, has caught the eye of apparel and sports firms with his impressive performances for the country and are looking to sign up the wrestler ahead of the next Olympic Games, as he is one of best prospects for an Olympic gold medal.
 
Punia was earlier signed by Japanese sports giant Asics which entered the Indian wrestling market through its association with the talented wrestler.

Commenting on its association with Punia, TT Limited managing director Sanjay K Jain in a statement said, “Wrestling is a sport which epitomises strength, courage, and intelligence and is one of the most popular sports amongst men especially in the Hindi heartland. We wanted a real hero as their brand ambassador and not a filmy hero as most other brands in the innerwear category.”
 
“The company is confident that Bajrang Punia will create connect with its male target audience and enhance its macho appeal. The company is looking at a 30 percent growth in turnover of its garment vertical as it deepens its penetration in its major markets with a wider and more appealing product range,” Jain added.
