British fashion designer Christopher Raeburn is the latest talent to team up with The Woolmark Company for one of its design collaborations.

The company said merino wool will play a central role in the creation of Christopher Raeburn's AW16 womenswear presentation, which will be previewed at the ICA on 23rd February during London Fashion Week.

Raeburn's collection showcases how Merino wool embraces technological innovation by reinventing timeless outerwear and base layering pieces. Merino wool is a natural, biodegradable and renewable fibre, and The Woolmark Company said Raeburn's "signature reappropriation of fabrics and meticulous attention to historical detail will be highlighted through his use of Merino wool."

The designer is no stranger to collaborations with a sustainability slant. For the latest London Fashion Week, in September 2015, he collaborated with footwear brand Clarks, with which he created a collection of sandals for both men and women made using recycled EVA and cork.
