Wonderskin brings Korean brands Accoje, Aroma Yong to India
E-commerce beauty store Wonderskin has strengthened its brand portfolio with the addition of two Korean brands, Accoje and Aroma Yong.
Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, Wonderskin has been receiving a good response for its beauty brands and expects the beauty market to recover in the coming months.
Wonderskin is confident that Korean beauty brands will continue to be accepted by the Indian consumers despite the ‘Vocal for Local’ initiative due to its unique product range.
Talking about bringing Accoje and Aroma Yong to India, Rahul Chandok, founder of Wonderskin told Fashionnetwork.com: “Both Accoje and Aroma Yong are already present in 14 other countries and selling successfully across the globe. I think Korean brands always carry a unique value because of the high standards and R&D Korean beauty brands put into their collection and also something which is not available in your own country is always more desirable. The response for these brands has been stupendous across major e-commerce platforms.”
Talking about the impact of the vocal for local initiative on Wonderskin, Chandok said: “With many international beauty brands being available online, the customer does have a plethora of options to choose from making this market challenging however this scenario is across all industries. Locally made Indian products have ingredients sourced mainly from within India. On the other hand, Korean products have ingredients grown and sourced from Korea & other parts of the world, so it’s all about the ingredients and formulations, which make a product different and stand out. And I think today's Indian consumer is always looking at including some Indian and some Korean Skincare in its dressing area.”
Wonderskin is an e-beauty store that was launched in 2019 and houses premium quality skin care brands from Korea.
