Womenswear brand Nylangan Hindustan launches online
Womenswear brand Nylangan Hindustan has launched a dedicated e-commerce store to retail its line of traditional and fusion wear.
Ameet Panchal, CEO of traditional wear retailer Ethnicity, has launched a dedicated e-commerce store for his new venture, Nylangan Hindustan, the brand announced in a press release. Although the site does link to Ethnicity’s e-commerce store, it is designed to be a standalone website for the womenswear brand, which has a more paired down, simple aesthetic than its more traditional sibling Ethnicity.
“Founded on the belief that fashion needs to be personal, Nylangan offers artisanal clothing that is timeless, effortless and beyond seasons,” the brand wrote in a press release.
“All our collections are created to tell stories; of the craft, of the artist and of the individual who wears Nylangan.”
The brand launched online with a number of collections inspired by the elements including ‘Agni’, inspired by fire and ‘Vruksh’, inspired by the element of earth. The clothing features handloom textiles and loose, floaty tailoring.
Panchal, who has worked in the Indian fashion industry for over three decades, has taken on the role of CEO and managing director of Nylangan. The brand’s name is taken from ‘nyl’ derived from ‘neel’ and ‘angan’, which stands for a courtyard.
