Wolverine Worldwide reorganizes management

Wolverine Worldwide is strengthening its leadership. The American shoe manufacturer announced yesterday that James Zwiers, who has been at the company for the past 16 years, will take over from William Brown, who will soon retire from his post as president of the International Group. James Zwiers was previously president of WWW’s Lifestyle Group.

In order to replace Zwiers, the company has opted for an external recruitment in hiring Andrew Simister for the position. The former president of Lacoste Footwear for Pentland Brands will now be in charge of Sperry Top-Sider, Hush Puppies, Keds and Stride-Rite.

At the same time, the group has announced the nomination of James Gabel as president of Performance brands. Before serving as president of Adidas Group Canada, was president of Reebok North America. From now on he will be responsible for Merrell, Saucony, Chaco, Cushe and Patagonia Footwear.
