Vishal Fabrics production capacity improves by 20 percent

​Vishal Fabrics Limited, one of the leading manufacturers of denim, saw fabric production at its manufacturing plant in Dholi, Gujarat jump 20 percent, increasing from 55 percent in the second quarter of fiscal 2019 to 75 percent in the current second quarter.

Higher capacity utilisation, coupled with increased production, helped the company improve its operating efficiencies that lead to a better financial performance.
 
Vishal Fabrics witnessed a 39 percent jump in its net profit to Rs 9 crore ($1.3 million), while its revenue increased by 23 percent to Rs 293 crore for the second quarter, ended September 2019.

Brijmohan Chiripal, managing director at Vishal Fabrics in a statement said: "Significant improvement in capacity utilisation has led to better efficiency and higher profit margins. Going ahead, we expect capacity utilisation to improve and also enhance our operating leverage.
 
“Superior manufacturing technology allows us to develop innovative products in line with global fashion trends. Furthermore, it enables us to produce a wide range of products. This is a source of competitive advantage and allows us to not only meet customer requirements but also delight them,” he added.
 
The Ahmedabad-based Vishal Fabrics Limited (VFL) is a flagship company of the Chiripal Group. It caters to leading domestic and global brands like Aditya Birla Fashion, Pantaloons, Future Group, Austin, Pepco, OVS, Inditex- Zara, Pull & Bear among many others.

The company also supplies to e-commerce portals like Myntra.
