Victorinox partners with Viren Rasquinha to celebrate timepiece collection

Watch, knife, and luggage brand Victorinox partnered with sportsperson Viren Rasquinha to launch its new ‘Victorinox Journey 1884’ timepiece. The Swiss brand held an event at its exclusive brand outlet in Palladium Mall, Mumbai to celebrate its new collection. 

Victorinox India’s managing director Colonel Chandhoke and chief product and marketing officer and country head for watches Debraj Sengupta presented Rasquinha with a Journey 1884 Swiss Made Automatic Watch for men at the event, the brand announced in a press release on May 31. The event was designed to celebrate both Victorinox’s new timepiece and Rasquinha’s contribution to hockey as former captain of the Indian national hockey team. 
 
“The Victorinox Store at The Palladium Mall was awash in awe, as watch aficionados and Victorinox loyalists cheered the brand on in its new journey,” announced the brand in a press release. “The new Victorinox Journey 1884 is not just a watch. It is the first leg of a new journey for Victorinox watches and a statement infusing the feeling of freedom and the energy of the Swiss mountains into everyday adventures. Let this journey begin!”

Victorinox’s new timepiece is inspired by the Swiss Alps and is designed to accompany the wearer on hiking adventures and beyond. The watch’s hand design mirrors Swiss hiking signs and its dial has a rough texture designed to bring to mind a natural hiking path. The watch also features a counterweight for the second hand which is inspired by the brand’s signature Swiss Army Knife.
