Veet enters male grooming segment, names Kartik Aaryan as brand ambassador
Consumer health and hygiene products maker Reckitt Benckiser has entered the male grooming segment in India with its brand ‘Veet’ and appointed Bollywood actor Kartik Aryan as its brand ambassador for the Indian market.
The company launched the Veet men hair removal cream with a campaign featuring the actor, called ‘Find your sexy’. Veet sees huge potential in this segment and banking on millennials to boost sales of its newly launched product.
Commenting on the launch, Pankaj Duhan, chief marketing officer at RB in a statement said, "We see immense potential in the market and are excited to be entering this category and launching Veet Men Hair Removal Cream, specially made for men who are looking to embrace the clean and smooth look."
Commenting on his association with the brand, Aaryan said, “Veet is a legacy brand for hair removal products and I am thrilled to be associated with the new Veet Men range of products. I prefer the clean and smooth look and see it fast becoming the trend."
With the male grooming industry expected to grow at an annual growth rate of 45 percent according to a survey by Assocham, RB is looking to make early roads in the segment to gain a larger market share of this booming segment.
