Vedatya Institute’s partnership with Istituto Marangoni is designed to give design students an international-facing education experience and offer a holistic approach to design and business, the institute announced in a media release, News Patrolling reported.

As part of the collaboration, students will have the opportunity to either get a professional certificate issued by Istituto Marangoni in multiple design related areas or to spend a semester abroad at one of the institute’s international locations including Milan, Paris, and London. Before the courses launch in July, Vedatya Institute is offering a summer programme run by Istituto Marangoni in Europe.

“We are proud to welcome talented students from Vedatya and to establish our presence again in India thanks to a special partnership that is meant to support the new generation of Indian creatives and skilled professionals in the realms of fashion and design," said Istituto Marangoni’s head of business development and strategic partnerships Roberta Cesaro in a statement.

Some of India’s most prominent designers including Rahul Mishra, Avinta Sharma, Somil Seth, Druv Kapoor, and Jeetinder Sandhu studied at Istituto Marangoni. Vedatya Institute plans to enrol 30 students on its collaborative courses this year.

“We are very excited to collaborate with the best-in-class design school of the world,” said Vedatya Institute’s managing promoter Amit Kapur.

“Our partnership with Istituto Marangoni will give Vedatya’s students a variety of international opportunities and the distinct advantage of world-class education. Vedatya’s School of Design and Creative Arts in collaboration with Istituto Marangoni aims to enhance academic offerings by giving students options such as study abroad programmes, exhibitions, and workshops. We also see students of both the institutes benefitting through international student exchange and joint research projects.”
