Vasundhara Patni launches Kiro makeup brand

Entrepreneur Vasundhara Patni has launched new makeup brand, Kiro, as an India-based, clean beauty label with a dedicated e-commerce store.

The brand launched with an online store featuring a collection of lipsticks named ‘Gold Dust’. The lipsticks come in a range of five shades and contain jojoba and avocado oils, according to the brand’s new Facebook page. The lipsticks feature eco-friendly packaging with an illustrative design and shades include a bright red and deep brown.
 
The brand also recently launched a liquid lipstick collection and highlighter collection on its new e-commerce store. Kiro will also launch a range of skin products followed by a range of eye products. The brand’s products are priced between Rs 800 ($10.89) and Rs 900.

“I wanted it to check all the boxes,” Patni told Vogue India, about her process behind the brand. “It had to perform well, be made well, and had to make you feel pampered.

“I thought that there were enough clean beauty brands out there, but they didn't have the right kind of formulations for Indian skin, in terms of their shade range, as well as their ability to withstand our weather,” said Patni.

For this reason, products have been kept lightweight to work in Indian humidity.
