Vardhman Textiles Q3 net profit surges to Rs 431 crore

Ludhiana-based Vardhman Textiles witnessed a surge in its consolidated net profit at Rs 431 crore ($58 million) for the third quarter ended December 2021, as against a net profit of Rs 175 crore it posted in the year-ago period.
 

The company’s revenue for the quarter rose to Rs 2,667 crore, as against Rs 1,806 crore it reported in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.
 
Vardhman’s total expenses during the quarter rose to Rs 2,097 crore from Rs 1,588 crore in the year-ago period.

Vardhman Textiles is part of the Vardhman Group that is engaged in the textile industry. The group's business portfolio includes yarn, fabric, sewing threads, fibre, special alloys, and garment sectors.
 
Vardhman manufactures high-end premium quality shirts for large retail brands Van Heusen, Benetton, Sisley, and Colorplus, among many others.
