VKC Group holds event to honour women employees

Footwear manufacturer VKC Group held an event to honour its women employees who have worked for the business for over 10 years. The celebrations at its manufacturing unit in Feroke were held as part of International Women's Day 2023.

VKC Group honoured 232 women employees at its event, the footwear business announced in a press release on March 7. A total of 139 women employees who have completed 10 years of service at the business received special mementoes from the business’ chairman VKC Mammad Koya at the event. 
 
“We are very happy to create opportunities and encourage women for their dedicated services in the workplace by honouring them,” said VKC Group’s chairman VKC Mammad Koya at the event, the brand announced in a press release. “It is a great achievement and inspiration to have so many women employees with the VKC family for decades.”

The event also featured a talk my special guest, family councillor Nisha Soman who spoke about embracing equality. The business also highlighted its policies which are designed to show a strong commitment to gender equality.
 
“We are honoured to celebrate International Women's Day by recognising our women employees who have been with us for more than 10 years,” said VKC Group’s VKC Razak at the event. “Their hard work and dedication have helped us become a leading manufacturer in the industry. We are proud to have them as part of our VKC family, and we hope to continue our journey of success together.”
