VF Corp VP & Group President Karl Heinz Salzburger to retire in 2017

VF Corporation on Wednesday announced that Karl Heinz Salzburger, Vice President & Group President of VF International, will retire at the end of 2017. Salzburger will remain as VP & Group President through the first quarter of 2017, and will serve as Special Advisor to the Chief Executive Officer to ensure a successful transition.

Salzburger spent 19 years at VF Corporation in a number of positions including President of The North Face, CEO of The North Face, President of VF’s Outdoor – International coalition, and President, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia. He was appointed to VP & Group President of VF International in December 2008.
 
Prior to joining VF, Salzburger worked at Benetton Sportsystem S.p.A., where he served as President, Nordica Group and President, BSS Subsidiaries.

Aidan O’Meara, President of the Asia-Pacific region, will succeed Salzburger as VP & Group President, effective April 1, 2017. As President of the Asia-Pacific region, O’Meara was responsible for building the infrastructure and organization in the region. Under O’Meara, VF’s revenue in the region grew to over $1.2 billion.
 
O’Meara joined VF in 1992 leading the Wrangler brand in Ireland and was later named Managing Director of Jeanswear for the United Kingdom and President of VF’s Jeanswear international business.
 
In addition, VF named Martino Scabbia Guerrini the President of VF’s EMEA region, a newly created position, and named Kevin Bailey the President of VF’s Asia-Pacific region. Scabbia Guerrini has spent 10 years with VF and currently serves as President, Sportswear & Jeanswear Brands, EMEA, and Bailey serves as President of VF’s Action Sports and Outdoor/Action Sports, Canada, Mexico and Central/South America business.
