V Mane Fils, which entered India in 2003 through its subsidiary Mane India Pvt Ltd, will invest $18 million (Rs 119.7 crore) in expanding its facilities in India, TNN reported. The business will set up a new plant in Dahej, Gujarat, for manufacturing liquid fragrances to be used in personal care products among other items.

“We are shifting our entire liquids capacity of 1,200 tpa from Hyderabad to Dahej, where our greenfield plant is coming up with a 3,000 tpa fragrances and 2,000 tpa flavours capacity and will go onstream next year,” Mane India Pvt Ltd’ managing director Sumit Dasgupta told the Times of India. “As far as our Hyderabad plant goes, we are looking to move out of the 2.5-acre Dundigal campus to a bigger 4-acre campus in and around Hyderabad for which we are scouting for options.”

The business is looking for a new research and development space, Dasgupta said. The new space will include a larger number of employees and ameliorated facilities such as new dedicated labs, according to Dasgupta.
