The new store is located at Post Naya Bazar, Paradeep Road, Cuttack. The store opening marks the journey of V-Bazaar in the eastern market as it plans to add five to six more stores in the coming months.

V-Bazaar is one of north India’s largest retail chains started by Hemant Agarwal and has over 60 stores in the region in states like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Madhya Pradesh.

Commenting on the expansion, Hemant Agarwal, managing director at V-Bazaar in a statement said, “It is a very happy and proud moment for us to make our entry into the eastern region with our 1st store in Cuttack. We are opening our five stores at the same time in different parts of India which will take our store count to 60.”

“Looking at the overwhelming response of our other stores in different states we thought of providing the same shopping experience to the people of Odisha. Our focus is very much on the Eastern part of the country with five to six stores lined up in the next few months, starting from Cuttack,” he added.

V-Bazaar Retail had generated revenue of Rs 220 crore ($31.1 million) for the fiscal year 2018-19 and plans to add around 60-65 more stores by 2021 which includes entering new states like Delhi NCR, Uttarakhand, and Assam.
