Leading an event at the Ram Manohar Lohia Awadh University in Ayodhya on December 24, Additional chief secretary for MSMEs Navneet Sehgal promised to aid new MSMEs to set up their business and pre-existing businesses to expand with MSME-specific loans, TNN reported.

“By March 2021, the government will be giving loans to 20 lakh MSME units through which the employment for one crore people can be generated. Every man is an entrepreneur,” said Sehgal at the event, TNN reported.

The initiative is also designed to help small businesses to recover from setbacks caused by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Financial literacy will also be taught to entrepreneurs.

The Union Government has stated its commitment to the MSME sector on numerous occasions and said that it will spearhead India’s economic growth in the coming years. “People should stop thinking that any work is small. If a person has ideas, training, and capital, then anyone can start a business,”said Sehgal.
