Japanese-inspired lifestyle brand Usupso is betting big on the Indian market for growth and plans to expand its retail presence in the country with the opening of new stores across India.

Usupso currently has 19 stores in India and plans to open another 81 in the coming year to reach a store count of 100 in the country.
 
The new stores will be a mix of both company-owned model and franchise partner. Usupso is targeting tier 2, 3 cities for its store openings as it sees a huge scope of growth and development in these cities.

Usupso recently opened five stores in the northeastern state of India. Apart from northeast, the brand has stores in Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Mysore, Mangalore, Kochi, Jargon, Jaipur, Dhanbad, Bokaro, and Indore.
 
To widen its product offerings to the Indian customer base, Usupso has started sourcing products from The Man Company and Colour Cosmetics brands.
 
For further growth, the brand is exploring partnerships with e-commerce firms and also has plans to sell online by launching its website.
 
Usupso was established in 2013 by Wei Lei and Zheng Yao. The brand sells apparel, cosmetics, accessories, footwear among others with affordable pricing as its unique selling point.
