Urbanic partners with Flipkart ahead of BBD sale event
London-based fashion brand Urbanic has partnered with e-commerce major Flipkart ahead of the latter’s flagship sale event ‘Big Billion Days' (BBD).
With this partnership, Urbanic is looking to further strengthen its presence across the country and banking on Flipkart’s customer base of over 350 million from metros, tier 2, and 3 regions to fuel its growth.
The brand has earlier partnered with Flipkart-owned fashion platform Myntra and witnessed record sales on the day of its launch. Urbanic expects its partnership with Flipkart to further increase its customer base and reach in the Indian market.
Commenting on the partnership, Nishit Garg, vice president at Flipkart Fashion, in a statement said: “Fashion plays a key role in onboarding new consumers during the festive season for Flipkart, and we believe that this launch is going to grow our Gen Z customer base. We are happy to announce the launch of Urbanic on Flipkart, which is one of our biggest fashion partnerships this year.”
Rahul Dayama, head of marketing at Urbanic, India added: “Through this partnership, we aim to scale our reach and leverage Flipkart’s reach across the length and breadth of the nation and their technology to give our community of style icons a superior digital shopping experience.”
Founded in 2019, Urbanic also sells its products in India through its app and claims to have over 15 million downloads of the app in India.
