Urban Ladder opens flagship stores, announces collaboration with Ashiesh Shah

Urban Ladder opened a brick and mortar store in Pune on the 22nd August and one in Bengaluru last month as the online lifestyle brand branches out into offline retail.

After launching as an e-commerce store five years ago, Urban Ladder swiftly gained popularity for its homeware products, perfumes, and lifestyle accessories. However, it was not until a month ago that the brand branched out into brick and mortar stores. The first store to be opened was in Bengaluru’s Domlur district and less than a month later, a store was subsequently opened in Balewadi, Pune. The next destination planned for the brand’s retail expansion is Mumbai.

The brand is taking advantage of having an offline space in their Bengaluru store and has already started organising event there. On August 25th a perfumery workshop is taking place in their shop to introduce customers to their various scents and encourage interest in that product category. Moreover, the store acts as a showroom for their interior design concepts with interior set ups to inspire customers.

Along with expanding into brick and mortar stores, Urban Ladder also announced that they are collaborating with the designer Ashiesh Shah for a premium line collection. Pradeep James, Urban Ladder’s Director of Design said about the new collaborative collection: “We’re collaborating with Ashiesh for an exclusive collection that reflects our mutual commitment to great design. The collection marries cool, clean Asian design with Indian craftsmanship with loads of cultural references. We’ve worked to break the conventional Indian design aesthetics and create a new look in this collection that is rich, enduring, and extremely elegant.”
