Uniqlo to open two new stores in Delhi NCR this year

Japanese apparel retailer Uniqlo plans to open two new brick-and-mortar stores in Delhi NCR this year in Vegas Mall, Dwarka and in DLF Mall of India, in Noida. 

As the Fast Retailing-owned clothing and lifestyle brand celebrates a year in the Indian market, Uniqlo plans to open a new store in Vegas Mall on October 1, the brand announced in a press release. Uniqlo will run a number of promotions on various garments, from October 1 to 4, to accompany the store launch. 
 
The Vegas Mall Dwarka store will be spread over 15,000 square feet in total sales area and split across two levels. The store will be decorated in Uniqlo’s signature red hue and branding.

“This October marks the one-year anniversary of Uniqlo in India and to celebrate we are thrilled to announce the opening of two new stores,” said Uniqlo India’s CEO, Tomohiko Sei, in a press release.

“This highlights our underlying commitment to the Indian market and marks a major step forward for our global business expansion. In times to come, we aim to enhance lifestyles in India by providing more innovative and functional apparel that draws on high quality to make everyday living better.”

Uniqlo plans to open the other store in DLF Mall of India later in the year. The store will measure 17,500 square feet across two floors and will feature different interior design for each floor. 

Both of the upcoming stores will feature a space for Uniqlo’s ‘Good Neighbourhood Guide’ initiative, which aims to highlight hidden gems in local neighbourhoods and showcase local community efforts.
