Uniqlo to open seventh Delhi NCR store at Connaught Place

Uniqlo will open its seventh store in Delhi NCR to date in Connaught Place on October 13. The Japanese fashion brand is continuing to expand its brick-and-mortar presence in India and the new store will bring its countrywide store total to nine. 

Uniqlo’s new Delhi store will open in central business district Connaught Pace and will house its full selection of menswear, womenswear, children’s wear, and accessories.  The spacious store features three storeys and has a bright, modern interior, as shown in a teaser video posted on Uniqlo’s India Facebook page. 
 
“It will also offer the entire range of fall and winter products for men, women and kids, such as its innovative and functional Ultra Light Down, Heattech garments and recycled fleece, as well as products featuring premium fabrics such as flannel, cashmere, lambswool and merino,” announced Uniqlo in a press release, Retail and Leisure International reported. “Customers can also find Uniqlo’s essential items such as easy care rayon, denims, fine cloth shirts and smart ankle pants.”

From October 13 to 16, Uniqlo will run a series of contests and offers to draw customer footfall to the new store. The first 20 shoppers will receive a fleece yarn jacket as a free gift and shoppers spending over Rs 5,000 will receive an exclusive notebook, Uniqlo announced on its India website. 
 
The store measures close to 8,000 square feet and the location was previously occupied by Italian clothing brand Benetton. The store is part of Uniqlo’s growing India network across Delhi, Gurgaon and Noida, as well as Lucknow and its latest opening in Chandigarh.
