The new store is located in the biggest mall in Chandigarh at Nexus Elante and will be spread over two floors with a total area of 15,000 square feet.

The Chandigarh store is expected to increase Uniqlo’s sales and customer base as it will give the brand access to markets of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu Kashmir.

Uniqlo has witnessed strong growth in India since its launch in 2019 and plans to continue its expansion in the Indian market by opening new stores across the country in the coming months.

Commenting on the expansion, Tomohiko Sei, CEO of Uniqlo India in a statement said, “We remain committed to being an integral part of India’s retail growth and to making Lifewear accessible to all. This fall season, we are thrilled to be entering a new market, Chandigarh. We believe that this cosmopolitan city has great potential, and we look forward to serving more customers from this region.”

Uniqlo, a brand of Fast Retailing, first entered the Indian market in October 2019. It is currently operating six stores in Delhi NCR and one in Lucknow.
