The brand had recently opened its fourth offline store and started e-commerce operations as well in the country. The new store at DLF Mall of India is spread over 17,500 square feet of retail space, over two floors.

“We are delighted to open our fifth store in one of the largest malls in India. We’ve had customers from Noida visiting our other stores to experience our high-quality and functional apparel. Now, we are thrilled to make Lifewear accessible in their neighborhood,” in a statement said Tomohiko Sei, CEO at Uniqlo India.

Pushpa Bector, executive director of DLF Retail, added: “We are once again proud to partner with Uniqlo as they bring thoughtful, timeless apparel to the people of Delhi NCR. The brand has made a mark in the Indian retail landscape within a year of its launch and has been among the best performing retail brands at our properties.”

Uniqlo entered the Indian market with its first store in the country at the Ambience Mall Vasant Kunj in New Delhi last October. The brand is a subsidiary of Japan-based apparel retailer, Fast Retailing, and has its presence in 25 markets across the world.
