The global fast moving consumer goods company Unilever has signed up with the business to business commerce and procurement software start-up Moglix which piloted its iCAT software with the business.

Unilever has partnered with Moglix for increased contract creating efficiency

Unilever, which produces a wide range of personal care and beauty products, partnered with Moglix, a start-up based in Noida and Singapore. The business piloted its iCAT cloud-based, intelligent algorithm-based software for consolidating and automating large volumes of contacts. Following the pilot with Unilever, Moglix has now launched iCAT in the US.

“Contract management is the heart of procurement,” Rahul Garg, the chief executive of Moglix, said in a statement as reported by ET Bureau. “Large organisations like FMCG, auto, pharma and chemical can use iCat platform to unlock great savings by consolidating their contracting process.”

Unilever, which Moglix reported creates over 100,000 contracts a year in over 100 countries, reduced its turnaround time from seven days to two. “Efficiency has gone up by an estimated 40 percent,” Jigyasa Kishore, director of strategic partnerships at Moglix, told the Economic Times. The increased efficiency -- and therefore speed -- will facilitate growth at Unilever.

“After multiple attempts to solve the problem with other partners, implementation of iCAT with Moglix has been a game changer for us, as it has automated and streamlined our contract management process across geographies,” said Dhaval Buch, the chief procurement officer at Unilever, in a statement. Buch also reported that the business manages $20 billion (Rs 1.3 lakh crore) per year.
