Under Armour surpasses 3 billion dollars in 2014

Under Armour confirmed itself as a major player in the sport sector in 2014. For its financial year ended at the end of December, the American group, which started out in compression sports garments, saw its sales surpass the 3 billion dollar mark. Its annual revenue thus went up 32% to 2.69 billion euros.

Its strongest growth was recorded in its shoes division, with a 44% increase amounting to 376 million euros, with its running and basketball products. But its textile division, which rose 30%, continues to be Under Armour's key market, with 2 billion dollars in sales with its training, outdoor, golf and gym offers. Accessories weighed in at 240 million euros, up 27% compared to 2013.

Its direct sales activity went up 32% and continue to represent 30% of revenue. The brand is also on the rise internationally, with sales that have almost doubled outside of the US and which represent 9% of total revenue.

For its annual results, Under Armour has posted a 33% increase in its operational result at 309 million euros, while its net result stands at 182 million, up 28%.

For 2015, Under Armour, led by Kevin Plank, who has just announced the acquisition of two fitness apps, is expecting to achieve 3.28 billion euros in revenue, or an annual growth of 22%, and an operational result between 347 and 355 million euros.
