Deciding which trends to go for when buying new-season clothes isn't always the easiest thing to do - the amount of options can be overwhelming. But for guys, British e-tailer Lyst has made it a little bit easier for SS16.

The company analysed more than 2,000 show reviews from 260 publications to come up with the 100 Menswear Talking Points for SS16.

Lyst broke the reviews down into 691,116 component words, and those words were grouped into their unique two-word combinations (bi-grams). The most frequently occurring phrases were counted, and then Lyst used sentiment analysis modelling to build a scale of the most important words of the season, which was cross-referenced with the most mentioned menswear terms on Twitter and Instagram during the men's fashion weeks.

Among the most important style terms are Zip, Creased, and Stripes, while the popularity of Androgynous points to how the the line between menswear and womenswear is becoming increasingly blurred. The list features not just fashion terms, but also the most buzzed-about designers and front row celebrities, and makes for a handy guide to which trends could be worth devoting more time (and money) to.
