UK's ASOS teams up with Red Ant for China mobile apps

Young British fashion retailer ASOS has chosen to work with retail technology specialists Red Ant to launch its first mobile apps for iPhone, iPad and Android in China.

The apps are launching this summer as part of ASOS' global growth strategy, and were created working with AppCommerce, Red Ant’s award-winning mobile commerce platform.

Red Ant CEO Dan Mortimer said: "With around 700 million smartphone and tablet users, China is currently the biggest mobile market in the world, and our AppCommerce platform will allow ASOS to tap into this vibrant and growing area."

ASOS’ Shaun McCabe said: "They (Red Ant) have an excellent track record in partnering with international retail brands to develop best-in-class transactional apps, and they have the ability to integrate quickly and easily with our existing systems across all channels."
