Last November Jean-Michel Herrault, Commercial Director of UGG Australia and Director of the French subsidiary of Deckers (UGG Australia, Teva…) announced that he was looking for a suitable location in the Saint-Germain-des-Prés or Marais areas of Paris for UGG’s first French flagship store. And it seems that it’s the Marais that has been selected.

At the presentation of the Deckers group’s results for the first quarter in 2012 last Thursday 26th April, Thomas A. George, Financial Director of the group, announced that several UGG stores would be opening in Europe, including one at Piccadilly Circus in London and another in the Marais in Paris.

According to our sources, Deckers group has bought the La Bonne Renommée store at 26 rue Vieille du Temple in Paris’s 4th arrondissement, for 3 million euros – a space of 1500 square feet that UGG can move in to as of the autumn. Deckers France did not wish to confirm the reports. La Bonne Renommée has only confirmed that it has sold the store, without giving the buyer’s name.
